Responsibilities:

 

Ø      Provides direct and indirect occupational therapy and activity therapy services including assessment, intervention, group therapy and individual program planning and implementation, discharge planning, family education, related documentation and communication.

Ø      Service delivery may include direct, monitored and consultative approaches.

Ø      OTR practitioners advance along a continuum form entry to advanced level based on experience, education and practice skills.

Ø      Functions according to the AOTA Code of Ethics and standards of the profession.

 

 

 Requirements:

·         Education: Individuals who have a Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy or who have a certification or advanced degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

·         An individual eligible for/or holding a Occupational Therapy License in the State of Washington. Verification of license yearly. BLS certified. 

 

This is an all voluntary psychiatric unit. The team is energetic and experienced!. Will consider new graduates.

 Manager – Outpatient Therapy

 

The Outpatient Therapy Manager is responsible for the management of the  Hospital Outpatient Therapy Services operation, at all Outpatient therapy sites.

 

Responsibilities:

 

ü      Direct all ancillary therapy activities, supervising department personnel, leading the development of interdisciplinary, evidence-based Outpatient rehabilitation programs.

ü      In addition, this position, assures adherence to all regulatory standards including Joint Commission standards, assuring an integrated approach to reimbursement. Supervises staff and promotes staff development in their designated service areas.

ü      Plans and implements programs and procedures to maximize patient care outcomes and department efficiency. Effectively communicates on multiple levels.

ü      Monitors quality, efficiency and effectiveness of outpatient therapy programs and makes recommendations for improvements.

ü      Sets budget goals and effectively manages assigned dollars. Assures continuous quality improvement and staff satisfaction.

ü      May assist in the management of the Department in the absence of the Director. Position directly supervises Physical/Occupational Therapists and Speech-Langauge Pathologists, PT/OT Assistants and Rehab Aides.

 

 Requirements:

  • Occupational, and/or Speech Language Pathology from accredited training program.     Washington State License, and appropriate certification to practice in the state of Washington.   
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in a therapy discipline, with at least five years in a management/supervisory position, and at least 2 years management of outpatient rehab therapies.   
  • Knowledge: Advanced clinical skills in area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of department management including budgeting, resource allocation and planning.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement challenges in Outpatient Therapy Services.
  • The Ideal Candidate 10+ to 15 years of experience
  • Management Experience Required – Yes
  • Minimum Education – Master’s Degree
